HISTORY
Pilipinas Ngayon Na! Business and Lifestyle Magazine was first published as a quarterly national tabloid newspaper in October 2005. It was in the said publication that the column of then Press Secretary Ignacio R. Bunye "View from the Palace", first appeared. Now Senator "Manny Pacquiao", who has just then won a rematch with Eric Morales and Precious Lara Quigaman (now, Alcaraz) crowned as Miss International beauty of 2005, were among its first feature cover story. Manny Pacquio, later on, became a Congressman and a Senator. In its September 2005 issue, former President Fidel V. Ramos with Senator Franklin Drillon was its featured cover story. A lifestyle section was added featuring local artists and stories on beauty and wellness.
Subsequently, from a tabloid newspaper Pilipinas Ngayon Na! evolved into a magazine format distributed internationally. Former President and now Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal Arroyo was its feature cover story in 2006 during her State of the Nation Address. Among those who were featured in its succeeding publication were then Mayor Feliciano “Sonny” R. Belmonte, Jr., of Quezon City, on its October 2006 issue. Belmonte later on became a Congressman and speaker of the House of Representatives. On its July 2007 issue, the magazine featured Hermogenes Edjer “Jun” Ebdane, Jr., then Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), who later became the Governor of Zambales.
